About the Speakers

Avi Eyal is cofounder and managing partner of Entree Capital, a firm with operations in the U.S., U.K. and Israel that announced its latest early stage fund, $80 million primarily to invest in Israel, in May 2018. Eyal was also the cofounder of SigmaLabs Accelerator, a non-profit accelerator that's seen many of its startups raise additional funding over the last five years. Portfolio startups include Riskified, which raised $165 million in November 2019 and monday.com, an Israel-based work software company that raised $150 million at a $1.9 billion valuation in July 2019, as well as Prospa (IPO 2019), Rapyd, Gusto, Glovo and Stash.

Adi Levanon has been involved in global high-tech ecosystems for over a decade, with a myriad of experience across early stage investments, product management and legal operations. Adi was part of the investments team at NYC-based investment funds, FinTech Collective and Symmetrical Ventures, focusing on fintech, D2C and enterprise SaaS startups. Prior to such, Adi worked at Israeli investment funds Viola Ventures (previously Carmel Ventures) and Rhodium. Additionally, Adi worked for two $billion companies - Conduit and Payoneer, where she held the leading operational roles of legal counsel, head of the compliance team and product manager.

Adi is currently Principal at Flint Capital, a global early stage $150M venture capital fund with a footprint in the Silicon Valley, Boston, Israel and Europe. She is also a student at the Kellogg international EMBA program and is a graduate from IDC Herzeliya, Israel with a LL.B. in Law and a B.A. in Business Administration with a major in Finance.

Barak Rabinowitz is Managing Partner of F2 Capital, a seed-stage, Israeli venture capital fund backing exceptional founders at the junction of big data, AI and connectivity. Previously, Barak led three startup companies from inception to exit as co-founder and CEO, and backed multiple companies as an angel investor. Barak started his career in the Technology M&A Group at Morgan Stanley and served in an infantry paratroop brigade of the IDF. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS BA from Georgetown University.

Max Marine is a Principal at lool ventures, focused on investing and supporting Israeli founders in the early-stages of their start-up journey. Prior to lool, Max worked at iAngels, after finishing his MS in Investment Management and passing the CFA exams. In parallel, Max has recently started to pursue his passion for rap video, producing "So You Wanna Raise a Seed" and "Start-Up Nation", and is now working on a rap video series about climate change. Max grew in Philadelphia and officially made aliyah in early 2017.

About Olim In Tech

Founded in 2017, Olim in Tech is a volunteer led community geared towards empowering & connecting olim who work or want to be working in hi-tech. Compared to native born Israelis, who grow up in Israel and spend time in the military, olim often find themselves at a major disadvantage when it comes to finding a job, networking, and generally advancing their career. Olim in Tech aims to bridge the gap by fostering a supportive community of open minded olim through our online presence and by hosting frequent events. Typical events include happy hours, speaker events, professional workshops, and more.

About the "Get To Know Your Local VC" Event Series
