About the Team
The SKAI (SKAEL AI) team is in charge of developing and enhancing artificial intelligence, machine learning and data mining capabilities to advance SKAEL’s core technologies. The team works on programs in multiple areas such as conversational AI, data wrangling, image processing, behavioral analytics, predictive analytics, telemetrics and benchmark analytics. By leveraging advanced technologies and sophisticated algorithms, SKAI’s solutions empower SKAEL’s intelligent digital employees. The team comprises data scientists, AI architects and ML engineers, and reports to the company’s Chief AI Officer.
Key Responsibilities
As an AI Architect at SKAEL, you will have a chance to work and conduct research on cutting-edge algorithms, particularly NLP/NLU algorithms, clustering and classification, neural networks, and a variety of AI/ML algorithms that improve the way human employees interact with digital employees.
You will design and develop solutions within the Artificial Intelligence spectrum in areas such as conversational engines, predictive analytics and expert systems. You will report to senior leadership and influence change. Your role will require knowledge in a broad spectrum of building blocks including data mining techniques, relational databases, cloud architecture and machine learning algorithms. You will be working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams.
As part of your role, you may need to:
Design and implement machine learning models for specific projects within SKAEL’s AI platforms
Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product managers to design the building blocks and overall requirements of assigned AI projects
Optimize and refine the architecture based on feedback from stakeholders
Engage with leadership and customers in strategic discussions to assess AI requirements for specific projects, and recommend solutions after conducting comprehensive analyses
Participate in discovery meetings to understand customers’ AI requirements and architect solutions that meet their needs
Extract and manipulate large datasets using standard tools such as Python, R and SQL
Drive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources
Experiment with, apply, and benchmark new AI algorithms, with particular focus on NLP
Assess the feasibility of new ideas with proof-of-concept prototypes, and help integrate them to the products
Communicate complex concepts and the results of analyses in a clear and effective manner to technical and non-technical audiences
Collaborate with other team members and cross-functionally to share knowledge and discuss initiatives
Conduct workshops to train team members and customers
Minimum Qualifications
A graduate degree in Data Science, Analytics, AI, Statistics or a related field from an accredited institution
A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
7+ years of relevant work experience, including experience with Python, R and SQL, as well as knowledge of AI/ML models, frameworks and libraries
5+ years of experience working on NLP projects
Proven experience in some off the following areas:
Statistical modeling and data analysis
Bayesian and frequentist statistical frameworks
Data wrangling
Machine learning
Computer vision
OCR
Capable of applying basic principles of data science (machine learning, statistics, computer science, mathematics) to solve technical problems
Self starter, able to work independently under tight deadlines
Prepared to work in a team environment and effectively collaborate with other team members to deliver joint solutions
Can share results and communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders, even in non-technical forums
Shows desire to acquire new skills and eager to learn from more senior team members
Able to mentor and guide junior team members
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with developing conversational engines is a strong plus
Experience in crypto/blockchain is a plus
